In this role he advocates on behalf of IATSE members before Congress and the current administration on legislative and regulatory issues impacting behind-the-scenes entertainment workers. He oversees IATSE&#8217;s federal policy agenda in Washington and coordinates the International&#8217;s political and legislative campaigns. <span data-teams=\"true\">He is a proud brother of IATSE Local 857, Treasurers and Ticket Sellers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He is a passionate advocate for advancing workers&#8217; rights and fundamental Democratic ideals, utilizing professional experience in legislative advocacy, political fundraising, and grassroots activism to achieve positive outcomes for IATSE members and families.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler joined IATSE after three years managing federal legislation at a trade association. Prior to that he spent multiple election cycles as a campaign finance and fundraising consultant for Democratic organizations and candidates at various levels of government. His resume also includes stints at two nonprofit organizations where he worked on federal workforce issues and youth engagement in elections. Tyler got his start in politics as an intern for his then hometown Congressman, Rep.
